I think I like it, though, Regan writes. It feels weird to say, like she's somehow betraying her family. But it's still the truth. She turns it to show Beverly, then makes a face and continues, Is that awful? I feel like a bad daughter for even thinking it. But it is kind of better here.

She still struggles with how much she wants to tell her, but at the very least, she can say that much.
